Coopers Hawk original linocut print
Original limited-edition linocut of a Cooper’s Hawk. Made by carving two separate linoleum blocks and applying each one with ink, before pressing onto paper using a press. One block is applied with a burgundy brown and the other with red and yellow for the sunflowers. This Coopers hawk has a piercing stare and watchful gaze over a bright and abundant garden.
The artwork size is 8 ½ x 11” and is printed on a 9×12 sheet of Rives BFK 100% cotton rag paper (fits in a standard size frame with or without a mat).
This is a limited-edition print run of only 50 prints. Each one is signed, titled and numbered in light pencil. Prints are packaged in a cellophane sleeve with sturdy archival acid free backing board. Since each print is individually hand printed there might be slight color variations that differ from what is shown on the screen. That being said each print in the edition is made to be as close as possible in resemblance to each other, the slight differences between the prints are what makes it unique!
