This print was inspired by a kinglet I saw perched on a tree in Frick Park in Pittsburgh, PA. This one is just peeking out from the shadows and perched among the branches and bright green leaves of spring.
This is an original reduction linocut printed on Rives Cotton Rag paper. Reduction means that a single linoleum block is carved after each layer of ink is added to the block, this leaves the block almost completely carved away at the end and the print can no longer be printed.
This is printed as a varied limited-edition series of 11 prints. A varied edition means each print might have slight color or marking differences since each one is individually printed by hand on my tabletop press. Prints are signed and numbered in light pencil below the print.

Printed with professional non-toxic oil-based printmaking inks to ensure color richness and longevity of the print. It is recommended to frame under UV protective glass to ensure longer longevity if placed near direct sunlight.
Prints are packaged in a clear cellophane sleeve with acid free archival rigid matboard backing.
